We are currently open from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, except Tuesdays when we stay open till 6:00pm.

Who can use the South Central Tennessee Career Center Services?
Everybody! Anybody looking for employment is welcome to use the Resource Center and the job listings available through the Center. Our Resource Centers has computers with full Microsoft Office applications and internet capabilities. Job seekers are welcome to use the Center's fax, copy machine, and phone to assist with their job search. There is a library of career resources available for use. The staff in the Resource Center are another asset in your job search. They can help you learn about other services available through the Career Center.

I am already working but I want a better job, how can you help me?
The Resource Center can be a great place for you to use in your search for a better job. If you register for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services, you can get help to figure out what type of career you want and how to get there. You can also get small group or one on one career counseling. You may be able to attend workshops covering topics such as Resume Writing, Interviewing, Job Applications, and Identifying your Skills.

Can I get help in looking for a job?
Yes, we have a state-of-the-art Resource Center along with qualified staff to assist you in your job search. Access to Tennessee Job Bank, America's Job Bank, and other postings are available for you to review. Internet access is also available for individuals who are seeking work or are in the process of career planning.

Can you find me a job?
The Career Center can assist you with your job search by offering advice on career planning, resumes and cover letters, interviewing, training, etc. and providing such tools as computers, phones, fax machinnes, copiers. To learn how to take advantage of these services we recommend you visit or call one of our Career Centers during regular business hours.

Following our information meetings, you have the opportunity to meet with a staff member who can explain Career training and funding options. Our Resource Room contains brochures about colleges and training programs as well as financial aid resources and a computer which you can use to access information online.

A decision regarding your eligibility can be conducted to see if you qualify for funding. Information regarding financial aid is also available for you to review to see if alternative funding sources can assist you in your career training.
