What is the Value of a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) to Employer?
As an employer, you need new hires to hit the ground running. Chances are the people you hire will work hard. But will they work smart? Do they have the skills needed to keep your business moving forward? And what about your current employees; are they truly performing at capacity, or could you boost productivity? Wouldn't it be great to know for sure? Job applicants with a National Career Readiness Certificate arrive with those skills critical to job success, enabling employers to cut training costs and reduce turnover.

The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a credential based upon the WorkKeys assessments that substantiate to employers that an individual possesses the basic workplace skills required for 21st Century jobs. Numerous surveys have demonstrated a gap between the current workforce and the basic skills needs of employers. This new portable skills credential is gaining national momentum by promising to increase economic competitiveness through a stronger workforce. Thirty states, including Tennessee, have formed a consortium to endorse and accept this new skills credential.
