Rapid Response

The Tennessee Department of Labor Dislocated Worker Coordinator introduces the Rapid Response team members, which may include the Dislocated Worker Coordinator, a local Department of Labor and Workforce Representative,  an Adult Education representative, a South Central Tennessee Workforce Alliance representative, and a representative to discuss Cover Tennessee or health insurance options.  The team presents a slide show that explains all of the services that are available to dislocated workers, including unemployment insurance, job service, veterans’ services, labor market information, adult education services, health care options, and Career Center Services, including training and job readiness workshops. 

Employee Needs Surveys are given to the employer to distribute to employees prior to Rapid Response team meetings with employees.  The purpose of the employee needs survey is to help the Career Center in identifying the job search and training needs of the employee.  Completed needs surveys are given to the Career Center representative at the Rapid Response team meetings with employees.   Career Center staff use the results of these surveys in planning needed services and training.
