Oliver Fiberglass Products

Oliver Fiberglass manufactures step-in bathtubs and travel trailers. Originally, Oliver only manufactured travel trailers, but with the economy downturn, the comapny changed their products and began manufacturing the step-in bathtubs.

Oliver Fiberglass was a recepient of an Incumbent Worker Training Grant from the Tennessee Career Center for the amount of $15,000. The company utilized the University of Tennessee - Center for Industrial Services to provided 95 employees with the following training classes:

• Ergonomics
• Lean Overview for Operators
• Lean Overview for Supervisors
• Value Stream Mapping
• Kaizen

Bert Moore, CFO, stated, “the training courses have produced great results. There has been great value for the training that was conducted and UTCIS did a great job in presenting the classes.”
